YOU ARE AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST REPORT

The APC gubernatorial candidacy drama between Ambode and Sanwo-olu in Lagos got me talking with a friend last week. This topic has become a huge discourse among political commentators and observers.
My argument was that Ambode’s achievements in Lagos deserves an unopposed second term ticket from his party  while the arguement of my friend was that he has done woefully considering the number of uncompleted projects in Lagos.

While we were at it talking, he mentioned something profound to me and I thought to share with you. He said “you are only as good as for last report”. This sounded too true for me to push more argument, I had to pause and think it through for a minute.

For him, looking away from the Abule-Egba bridge, Berger bridge, new working vehicles for Lastma officials, working vehicles for RRS police officers, etc. Ambode’s last report was his failure with VisionScape, the dirty state of Lagos and his many uncompleted road projects. In fact, Lagos is fast becoming a refuse dump altogether. This last report of Ambode according to my friend is the reason he isn’t deserving of a second term ticket. I guess he’s right.

Whether Ambode or Sanwo-olu, I’ll let the Lagos landlords decide before we enter the polls in 2019.

Away from politics, what is your last report? Ask yourself and answer honest to God as you can. When we are to determine the academic abilities of a child and whether that child deserves to proceed to the next class, the  last report is often the judge. What last report/impression are you leaving on people? Your years of good report becomes inconsequential when you leave a last bad report on people at work, school, church or anywhere else.
Check yourself and make amends cause in truth, your abilities, character, behaviour are eventually judged by your last report.

Good morning.
