INFORMATION AFFECTS OUR AESTHETIC SENSE OF REALITY.

It’s been said every now and again that information is one of the striking difference between the rich and the poor.

Think about it this way; the rich has information about wealth and how it operates while the poor has information about poverty and how it operates. Both make their decisions based on the information they have, their result is quite obvious.

The type of information you have access to determine the type of  knowledge you are furnished with which in turn informs your decision making process.

You remember the Pareto 80/20 rule? Let’s apply it here. In truth, 20% of people in your industry have access to 80% of the information available. That’s why they are industry leaders and influencers while the much larger 80% squash themselves to feed on the 20% information leftover, exactly the reason they remain at the base.

It is just logical to strive to get into the upper 20% of people who have 80% access to information if you really do desire a change and want to play in the big leagues.  Interestingly, it’s a lot easier than it used to be. Attend training (even WhatsApp trainings), attend seminars, get mentorship, read books, take courses, change your location, do the things that are necessary to find information and you’ll find yourself winning more.

Next time, rather than wonder why others in your industry seemingly do better than you, ask yourself what information do they have access to. Once you gain access to those information, use them to your advantage… That simple.

Let me drive this home with a little example.
Mini-importation business is fast rising in Nigeria and it could be very tempting to invest in. As lucrative as it seem from afar, some have invested and lost all because they do not have access to the right information and as such they make wrong and uninformed decisions. One of the major information that determines big players in the mini-importation industry is knowing hot-products. Big players in this industry know how to identify hot products, bigger players know the market for those products and how to get it there, the biggest players know where to get those products at the cheapest price.
Getting these information and more determines the biggest winners in the end.

Go ye into the world and find information.

A wise man once said “Information affects our appraisal of reality and the decision that follow”.
