For the longest time as much as I can remember in this scam of a adult life nobody warned us about, I have had a personal policy of giving my 100.
So if it was worth doing, I’ve got to do it well. Needless to say, it has been profitable. I had gotten referrals and recommendations from people who had at a time seen me do something.
You know that feeling that comes with “you came in highly recommended by…” Yeah! that one, I’ve felt it many times. I felt it again 2 weeks ago.
I’ve also heard about the popular Kenny Blaq’s story and how he had given his 100% randomly at an event without knowing Alibaba was in the stands. All of these reaffirm that the cosmic powers reward a culture of excellence.
I wouldn’t be here to tell you how perfect I’ve been, that would be outrightly boastful, deceitful and out of place but you’ve got to understand that nature rewards excellence. You’ve got to try to always give your 100, not cause of others or your employer but because of yourself and the fact that your success in life is dependent on it.
You can’t pretend excellence, you can’t act it, it’s a way of life, it’s a culture, it’s self-marketing.
Many sellers would act rudely because they have just a few customers to serve, maybe family and friends in some cases. You wouldn’t do any better when/if you have a pool of customers to serve. You would have successful acquired mediocrity and you’ll send yourself out of business before you know it.
So, whether your business serves just one customer or you’re speaking to an audience of 5 or you’re a backend staff, give your 100 each time. Your boss may not be watching but the world is and she’ll send opportunities your way.
