BUILD VALUABLE CONNECTIONS!

If I give you 5movies to watch and I specifically mentioned 1 of them that I loved the most, you’re most definitely going to watch that one I loved the most first. Why? Because I said I loved it.

You’ve probably tried a new restaurant because your friend tried it and suggested it to you.

You’ve patronised a make up artist who did your friend’s make up at her wedding.
.
You’ve used a certain photographer because your brother had earlier patronise the same person.
.
Customers are real people who have families, friends, well-wishers and foes alike. They would follow suggestions of their connections and relations when they need certain services. Ask yourself, are your current customers suggesting your services?

You need to build valuable relationship with your customers rather than simply sell to them. Build town-criers from them, build friends from them, build fans from them and let them go sing your praise. Randomly check on some of your customers (don’t stalk), send them birthday wishes, greet them on their anniversaries etc. Be sure you stay top of mind.
