A FOOL LOOKS HIMSELF IN THE MIRROR AND ARGUES WITH THE REFLECTION.

I had some little moment of reflection yesterday…
.
Sincerely, it wasn’t planned. I guess the cosmic powers were in sync with my being being the first day of the last quarter of the year.
.
My reflections were along the lines of “what I should have done, what I should be doing and what I want to do”. I basically took account and did that “balance sheet/balance brought forward” thing I overheard in those boring Accounting Classes in Secondary school.
.
I accepted my truth, and I bet that acceptance will help me do much better.

In that little moment, it occurred to me how many of us STAND BEFORE A MIRROR, YET ARGUE WITH THE REFLECTION.
.
We argue with our truth, with who we really are, we never accept our shortcomings rather we’ll mask them. Really, only a foolish person argues with their own reflection. That’s who you really are bro!?
.
You can munch and chew all the positive chants and incantations but really, acceptance will help you work on yourself better than plain old affirmations. Don’t get me wrong, positive affirmations are great but it should not substitute acceptance of truth.
.
Like our elders would say; “the day a mad man knows he is mad, that day he gets healed”. The first step to solving a problem is knowing and accepting that there is indeed a problem.
.
Start this week, month and the last quarter accepting your truth. Look in the mirror, accept the reflection then go work on it. You’ll look better the next time you’re in front of a mirror ?.
.
Happy New Month!
